Sunday Update for 3/15/2020
South Elkhorn will not be gathering for Sunday worship or Sunday evening activities this week. Governor Andy Beshear urged Kentucky places of worship to cancel Sunday services out of an abundance of caution and to help mitigate the spread of illness.
While we will not gather as we normally do, I hope you will continue to connect with God and grow in your faith. We will provide worship, devotional, and study materials for you, your family, or a small group to use. More information, links, and resources for this Sunday will be forthcoming. And you can find past messages, reflection guides, and worship bulletins on our church website sermon series pages.
In addition, Care facilities are limiting interaction between residents and visitors at this time, and many are unable to see their loved ones in person. Our love and prayers extend to our church family who are themselves in care facilities or have family members and friends in a care facility.
This might be a beautiful opportunity for you to reach out by card or phone to the people you love and connect with them, even if you can’t visit in person–no matter the reason for the distance.Grace to you and Peace,
