I love Ash Wednesday. It is one of the most meaningful services of the year for me. Receiving the ashes in their honest and hopeful messiness is one of the most profound and beautiful expressions of faith I have experienced.

I didn’t realize how deeply I needed to hear that as a parent. Or maybe how deeply I needed to hear that sung with sincerity, sensitivity, and strong love. Maybe you need to hear it, too…
